  • RIVER

    Breed: Male Chihuahua/Dachshund

    Adoption Fee: $450

River is 3 months old and is about 6lbs, he will be ready for meet and greets beginning next week!

    • Dog friendly

    • Older kid friendly

Here’s what River’s foster has to say:

River is a 3 month old tiny little guy that is one of the cuddliest foster that I’ve ever had. He is on my lap the  minute I sit down and happy to stay there until I get up.

He’s lower energy than is sister but still loves to play tug, with toys, loves bully sticks, and his fishing rod toys. He has been with large and small dogs but is afraid of large dogs if they try to interact . My shepherd just ignores them so he loves to hang out with her.

He loves to be held and loves giving kisses.

He will do best in a home with older children due to how tiny he is!

    • Brook cannot be adopted with River!

    • Will come with neuter contract

  • BROOK

    Breed: Female Chihuahua/Dachshund

    Adoption Fee: $450

Brook is 3 months old and less than 5lbs, she will be ready for meet and greets beginning next week!

Brook is the sweetest girl 3 month old girl!

Want to play? She’s up for that!

Want to cuddle? She’s all for that too!

She will climb into your lap every chance she gets

She is brave and inquisitive but is afraid of a large active dog. She is fine with a large breed that doesn’t necessarily want to interact with her.

To be honest, I’d be afraid too!

She will be on the small side and better with older kids that understand the care needed for such a tiny pup. She will wander off by herself to investigate but runs over to climb into your lap as soon as you sit down.

She loves to play tug and with the fishing pole toy. She loves to do zoomies and lay in the sun- she is small enough that supervision is needed when out.

    She’s got the best personality!

She will need more work on house breaking and has been in a pen with pee pads. She is learning to go outside when she is loose in the house.

    • Brook cannot be adopted with River!

    • Will come with spay contract

  • LOKI

    Breed: German Shepherd/Great Dane

    Adoption Fee: $400

Loki is a 1.5-year-old gentle giant with a sweet and easygoing personality. He was recently on the euthanasia list at our local shelter, simply due to space. He is the best boy! He gets along well with everyone he meets—dogs, kids, and even the cats he lives with in his foster home.

He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys going out for strolls, whether it’s around the neighborhood, to the farmers market, or just tagging along for brunch. Loki also loves a good nap and is just as content relaxing on the couch or bed as he is being outside.

He’s housetrained, sleeps in a crate at night, and has good manners around the house. Loki has a goofy side that’s sure to bring a smile to your face, and he’s looking for a home where he can be part of the family.

  • VELMA

    Breed: Shepherd/Cattle Dog Mix

    Adoption Fee: REDUCED to $100

Velma is a 1.5 year old Cattle Dog Mix and weighs 42lbs! She will need a very special and patient home who will accept her as she is. She is such a joy and so special! Her adoption fee has been reduced!

Velma was a challenge to catch according to animal control, but so worth the effort. She is a sweet girl who was so scared she had to be carried from place to place, but she has put in the work to gain confidence! While she is now comfortable with her foster mom she will need a home that is willing to give her time to readjust to new people and surroundings.

She is potty trained and quickly does her business when taken outside. She is kennel trained and while sometimes hesitant to go in, she will go for treats or peanut butter.

Velma loves to play with her foster sister, loves to toys (but not her kennel teddy bear) and is trying to learn paper and books aren’t dog toys. Velma will do best with another dog in the home to show her the ropes!

She currently goes outside on a leash, but with a slow introduction and and gaining trust, she would enjoy a backyard. She will require a secure yard with a tall fence and patience to help her continue to work on becoming more brave and confident!

We don’t want to sugar coat it, Velma is very special and may need accommodations when she arrives to her new home, such as being carried sometimes like she did when she first got to her foster.

  • CYPRESS

    Breed: Australian Cattle Dog

    Adoption Fee: $400

    • Approximately 2 Years Old; 36lbs

    • Male Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog

    • Walks well on leash

    • Not vocal, Non-destructive

    • 90% Potty Trained

    • Knows commands and is very easy to train

Cypress has NO CLUE he’s a cattle dog. He’s not your typical herding boy! He is very quiet, non-destructive, and medium energy. He is extremely people oriented, and wants to be near his person 24/7. He especially likes to be in a center-heal and will even walk with you between your legs.

Cypress has practically zero herding instincts, doesn’t care for herding balls, and finds puzzle feeders to be too much work. He does love treats and is very easy to train! He knows “sit” and “down” already and walks well on leash. He is mostly potty trained, but is not crate trained. He has his own room and is non-destructive and quiet, so we don’t think he will have any trouble being left alone.

Cypress would prefer to be the only pet in the home! He can be protective over his people around other dogs! He is suitable for kids!

His ideal home would have no other dogs, just because he would prefer to have all of your attention! The more human time the better. He would also enjoy being allowed to be uncrated, even if he just has access to one room when alone. He would love to have a loyal companion who would make him their entire world.

  • ANNIE

    Breed: Rottweiler Mix

    Adoption Fee: $150

Annie is a 60lbs Rottweiler Mix who is “9 years old” but acts like she’s 2 or 3! She is crate trained, potty trained, and even knows a few commands!

Where do we start?! Annie didn’t get the memo that she’s a senior. She loves running and playing. She is amazing at catching balls. She would make an amazing running/hiking buddy. She loves car rides and going on adventures. She knows sit, shake, and drop (the ball or toy). She is an amazing cuddle buddy. She will sleep in her crate at night but if you let her in your bed, she will find a spot (next to her human is preferred) and fall fast asleep. She loves giving kisses and getting belly rubs. She’s a really happy girl.

She doesn’t mind a bath - in fact she will jump right into the bathtub. Annie is still working on her leash training, she hasn’t figured out that leisurely strolls are fun too! She is very treat motivated, so she will be great after some training walks.

She played in doggy play groups at the shelter, so we believe Annie is friendly with others, but we always conduct a meet and greet and home trial prior to adoption to make sure pets get along well! She has been to a few farmers markets and she was very good with kids, especially babies!

Annie needs a loving and preferably active retirement home. Could that be you?

  • ARLO

    Breed: Ridgeback Mix

    Adoption Fee: $400

Arlo is a two year old mixed breed. He weighs about 48lbs and is dog and cat friendly! He is crate trained and potty trained and walks well on a leash.

He is described by his foster as goofy, friendly, affectionate, playful, athletic, funny, and quiet!

Arlo’s foster says that he is a total ham! He is always having fun and always making people laugh and smile. He is respectful of the cats in the home and is great with other dogs. His foster says her old dog has gotten grumpy with him, and Arlo just turns around and walks away. He is so good! He does occasionally have issues sharing toys with the other dogs in the house, but is doing better every day.

Arlo would love an active home who is down to play ball with him and go for adventures, but also wants a home who is okay to just relax on the couch at times too.

He really is such a well rounded boy!

  • ROXIE

    Breed: Aussie Mix

    Adoption Fee: $400

Roxie is a 1 year old cattle dog mix who currently weights about 40lbs.

She is potty trained, knows her basic commands, and is doing great on her crate training. She’s very smart and working on new commands like “place”.

She loves her toys, especially squeaky balls. She will happily join you for a pup cup date. She is good with other dogs as well!

This girl is seriously SO much fun!

Roxie’s foster described her as affectionate, friendly, smart, curious, and athletic. While Roxie does enjoy some lazy couch time, she is a high energy gal who loves to go for adventures and run and play in the backyard. She would thrive in a home with a backyard to run and play in and with someone who can give her the physical and mental exercise she needs!

She still has puppy energy, and is working on perfecting her manners. She just gets so excited to say hello that sometimes she jumps up to say hi, therefor a home with young children may not be the best fit, but has done very well with kids over 8.

Roxie is seriously the sweetest, happiest girl around and would love to be a part of your family

  • JUNE

    Breed: APBT/Staffordshire Terrier/Mastiff Mix

    Adoption Fee: $450

These 16 week old girls are already 30lbs, so be ready for a giant puppy at home! We believe them to be APBT/Staffordshire Terrier/Mastiff Mixes, but they are 100% adorable! They are available for adoption separately, and cannot be adopted together.

May & June have been socialized with dogs, cats, and kids in their foster home. Fearful cats may not appreciate their playful and curious nature though, but dog-savvy cats are great! They would love another dog in the home.

They are working on potty training, but like with any young puppy, this will take work, time, and patience to perfect! They are medium-energy and love to play at home. They enjoy their treats and toys, but their favorite thing is to play with another dog!

They are working on learning commands like “sit” and learning how to walk on a leash. They can start off shy, but will be very playful and friendly once they are comfortable! Puppies are a lot of work and responsibility, but May and June are so worth it!

  • BOOMER

    COURTESY POST

    REHOMING

Boomer was originally adopted through one of our local shelter partners, but when his family moved, they decided he wasn’t coming with them… Thankfully, his previous foster scooped him up and is now independently looking for a new forever home for him!

    About Boomer:

    • 60lbs

    • 7 Years Old

    • Crate and Potty Trained

    • Kid Friendly

    • Female Dog Friendly (Meet and Greet Please!)

Boomer is the sweetest boy ever, he loves affection, he is a couch potato, he does well left alone for long hours. In the previous home he really enjoyed the dog park, however he can be dog selective as he is an alpha dog. He does very well with the two female dogs in his foster home, but is not a fan of males.

He loves the outdoors even though he is older and sniffing around. He does well with children of all ages! He is a loving gentleman who needs a true forever family committed to him for the remainder of his life!

  • PHOENIX

    Breed: Cattle Dog Mix

    Adoption fee: SPONSORED

Phoenix is our longest stay dog here at Ace’s Place and we have no idea why! He’s so special, his adoption fee is completely sponsored!

This sweet boy has gone through so much, after being stabbed through his nose and upper pallet, he has had reconstructive surgery and is doing absolutely amazing. He is only left with a tiny scar. You can’t even tell what he’s been through, his optimism is inspiring and he LOVES all people!

Phoenix is a 2 year old, 45lbs cattle dog with possible ridgeback. He’s a crate and potty trained goof ball! He is the happiest guy, and even after everything he’s been through he has had the happiest demeanor.

He loves to run and play outside with other high-energy dogs, but is the biggest cuddle bug inside. He does not get into trouble and always wants to be right next to you.

His ideal home will let him sleep on the bed, as he insists on cuddling with you at night. He is great at knowing when to play, and when to rest. He will lay quietly next to you and cuddle up!

Phoenix lives with a pack of 4 other dogs, and can do well with most dogs with proper introductions. He would do best with only female dogs or no other pets!

He is so smart and learns commands quickly! He is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and microchipped.
