Apply to Foster

Foster homes are a valued part of our rescue!

Fosters are a vital part of our rescue. We do not utilize boarding, so all of our dogs must have a committed foster home to prepare them for their forever home! Our foster needs vary, so completion of the form below will help us be able to place you with the right fosters! No matter what, you can expect all supplies provided, consistent communication and support, and as much or as little involvement in the adoption process as you’d like! We would be happy to assist in the adoption process, but fosters are responsible for communicating and meeting potential adopters as well as attending adoption events when able.

While in foster care, all vet and grooming needs will be scheduled by APADR, and unauthorized expenses will not be reimbursed. You will receive a collar and tag for your foster, which must remain on at all times.  All supplies, including prevention, networking cards, treats, food, kennel, etc. will be provided to you and must be returned following adoption. We do allow foster-to-adopt, all fees will still apply.

Please read the foster responsibilities below and fill out the form to apply to foster!

2. To set your foster up for success by following all isolation, decompression, and introduction protocols.

3. To provide exercise, basic training, and socialization, as deemed appropriate.

4. Monitor, record, and relay any behavioral and medical problems as needed.

5. Transport your foster pet to and from any veterinary appointments and adoption events, or inform a team member if you need transport assistance.
